FRIDAY NIGHT MEALS! BAR OPEN FROM 6pm. ALL WELCOME!

Welcome to the Christies Beach Surf Lifesaving Club

The Christies Beach Surf Life Saving Club is located on the esplanade at Christies Beach, overlooking the beach and an aquatic reserve. We are a volunteer Surf Life Saving Club, with quite a number of dedicated members patrolling the beach in the Summer seasons. We are also very active in the competitive scene of Surf Life Saving, with a very long list of past and current accolades. Come visit our club to see them!

We are also proud to announce that we have been selected as a joint host of the 2012 World Surf Lifesaving Championships! Now is the perfect time to join and show your Christies Beach pride!

Aussies 2012

We extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family, friends and club mates of Matthew Barclay from Maroochydore SLSC.  Our thoughts are with you all at this very sad time.

The club needs to enter each competitor into specific events (we don't submit a master list and then nominate on the day) so if you are planning to compete at States you must let Jo Farry know asap and you must say what specific events you want to do.

Entries close Friday 2nd March.

Help Needed!

There is a Senior Carnival this weekend (Sunday 11th Dec) and we will need all hands on deck to help out with the following:

  • Carnival Patrol
  • Working Party
  • Canteen
  • BBQ

Please contact Richard Nurmi ASAP if you can help out in any of the above areas.

Health and Nutrition Session - Tuesday 25th October from 6:30pm

As competitive lifesavers, some members train very hard and may not know the best way to refuel their bodies after hard training sessions as we as before, during and after carnivals.
We have organised for Naturopath Jeanette Casey to visit our club on Tuesday 25th October at 6:30pm to speak to members about healthy eating habits. This event is open to all club members and we encourage everyone to take this opportunity to learn more about looking after our bodies as we enter the 2011/2012 season.

Cost is $2 per person.

Working Bee This Sunday

It's a big club and it takes a lot of people to clean it so come on down, roll up your sleeves and get the club sparkling clean ready for the new season!

There'll be a bbq at the end of it all so bring your family, friends, neighbours and even your pets if they have been trained to carry things laugh. The more the merrier!!

It all kicks off from 10am - see you there!
